I was lucky enough to get an invite to shoot rabbits on a property down there on the weekend , only about 20ks from the Albany Highway

The property (on dead man's swamp) was on the edge of a nature reserve and backed onto the river.

I never knew it was that big so far inland , had plenty of room to slip a dinghy or canoe in, but it was hard to fish due to cover along the banks , had a few flicks and a bit of a walk, but a half hearted effort with half a million rabbits waiting to be skinned.

Just wondering if anyone has fished the river that far up , the cockie reckons there are reddies and bream in there and it really looked like it would have.

Fully intend on getting back with the canoe to find out but interested if anyone has had any luck .

Could well be a little jewel of a place only 2 hours from home.

Cheers.
