I had an email sent to me with a vid showing a broadbill swordfish caught up in a submersible rig. The vid shows it being freed by a ROV. I am led to believe that the rig is out off the WA coast. Fascinating stuff!!
Bearing in mind the ownership restrictions on our broadband forum, I had a bit of a look on youtube and found the same vid. Here's a link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z_wLTj9xS5Y

If only the blokes operating the ROV knew how good they are as sashimi......would have been a different outcome if I was the operator.

Great footage tho'.

Was chatting to a chap the other day who works on a rig and said it was indeed at the Eagle rig off Karratha.
He knew the whole story...said there was another ROV they could have used that would have done an even better job, and been less damaging for the fish.
Still, it had no chance where it was, so I give them thumbs up for doing something.
