Hi Andy Hal just sold me a Calstar GF765XL, because I wanted something with a bit more give and a more moderate action than a 760L...it is also a tiny bit longer at 6'6". Might pay to compare the two. It is still fairly fast in action, but I tried it alongside a 760L, and the 760L seemed quite hard and faster by comparison. I like them to bend right back to the butt, too! Both of these are quite strong blanks, and it depends on how much of your back that you want to put into it. I am still looking for other variations, and have seen some softer, but longer, fibreglass blanks that are used on the SA west coast, that have a nice bend in them under load. I think that most graphite blanks are harsh on the fisherman, although they are light. For that silky and bendy action there is nothing wrong with "E" or "S" glass...like Sabre/Seeker, etc. Those Killwells sound interesting, too. Happy hunting.
