Status: offline 		 Hi Guys............This happened to a friend of ours thurday morning in bussleton ,There where some ducklings crossing busselton by-pass (110 zone) and this ute decided to slow down and half pulled of the road no indication our friend didnt see the ducks and stopped  and a 70 tn loaded truck hit the ass end of her car and pushed her out the way and killed the  ducks anyway..the moral of this story is LOOK behind before you stop for wildlife on the road ..

I remember my dad yelling "JUST HIT IT! JUST HIT IT!" when I was trying to avoid a duck while I was an L plater on Vasse highway. He thought I was going to run into the gravel, I thought I knew where the car was on the road. Duck got out of the way anyway.

Glad your friend is ok, thats a lot of damage to walk away from with little injury.

Status: offline 		I always feel for the truckie in these situations. Imaging trying to pull up 70 ton of vehicle and feeling helpless as you slam into someone. Every time I travel up the Brand Hwy I see some act of stupidity involving road trains and careless drivers. If you ask me the vast majority of truckies are very tolerant.

Status: offline 		Yeah Mark....................Like me and the missess recond is that you should have to do 50 hrs with a truckie as part of your license drivin test but you dont get your truck license ,just so people know how we stop this monster as people say you have time to stop but it happens all to quick and not like a car with a 4,5,6 speed gear box a truck has up 22 foward gears so by the time your dropped 1 gear you have hit some one ,that is why you see so many 4 tryes black marks on the roads thats trucks tring to stop .My last truck I was driving was 18 gears ,550 hp ,120 tn rated and legal for 3x 40ft trailers but mostly it was only 2 trailers and 90tns....

my pet hat is truck drivers who tailgate you when towing the boat .......not too dam many truckies sit back far enough behind vehicles to give emself the time they need imho ......

travelling on the road all the time i get so fed up of speeding bloody trucks .......none of em down our way stick to the speed limit
fully bloody loaded sitting on the max limit and some .....thye are there own worst enemy

Your not wrong not enough driver education, impatience and sometimes just pure stupidity.

Have seen a lot of it traveling to and from Kalbarri and in all that time just one idiot tailgating truckie.

Status: offline 		Hi Ash & Hezzy  .............................I've spoken to the driver of the red commodore and she said that the truck was sitting quite a fare way back and defending him to the police saying its not his fault ,its because the road were it happened has the tar coming to the surface of the road plus it was rain so it would have been like tring to stop on ice ,,,the section of road is on the busso bypass about 200 mts before redgum way on the way to vasse...

Its the Tossers behind the wheel trying to save themselves an extra 5 minutes in the day....

You cant compare car drivers to truckies, its the peron thats driving not the vehicle. We all bitch about truckies too slow or too fast, then they bitch about us being too impatient....

Most of the drivers out there including the truckies just have to sit back and relax, especially times like these coming up to the busy period..road rage and impatience and speeding gets people killed!! Simple solution stick to the frigging road rules!be aware of whats going on!and we should all be good..

The rules are there for a reason, but I reckon at the most 30% of perth actually understand all of them..the rest are just oblivious to them, for example if its a 100km/h zone most people do 90km/h, then it bumps up further down the road to 110km/h they will do a 100km/h.. cannot understand..

And as for indication, FOR THOSE OUT THERE WHO DO NOT INDICATE!!Hows your personal hygiene???
If you cant lift your small finger to turn the indicator on how the hell do you clean alll the nooks and crannys when you in the shower?
