I have just bought a Lowrance X125 to replace my old X51. The single frequency 200kHz Skimmer appears to be the same unit as well as the power connection. A simple changeover is right up my alley but before I plug anything in and blow the lot to bits I wonder if anyone in the know can offer me any words of advice!

(The X51 is not going to sounder heaven, but getting pride of place in my little barra punt)

Have you checked the Lowrance website to see that the fittings are indeed the same.

Hi Lee
The old X51 transducer is different to the transducer required for the X125.
There are a couple of different model transducers for each unit. One has a built in temp sensor and the others dont.
The single units sell for around $ 125 while the others (with temp) should be around $180
John at Kingswood Marine can assist you further. Cheers

Thanks Rod,

I will fit the unit with supplied transducer & power. I was just being slack.
