Chasing a bit of sunglass repair advice guys.
My wife has a pair of Maui Jim sunnies (MJ Sport with the titanium frames). One of the nose "arm" thingys has broken away from the "bridge". Is there anyone in WA who could repair/ replace the part. The local jeweller had a look and said no thanks. Maybe titanium is a bastard to work with??
Any advice greatly appreciated.

Give Maui Jim a ring on 1800 010 244 on a weekday. They're a lot easier to work with than titanium! Just find out how much $ they might want for the job anyway; and if you want to go ahead and it needs to go through a reseller, Bluewater Exmouth can help.

Trevor, Maui Jim have a very good Warranty so it may check to see if they cover the problem. I had a pair that the lens just keeps cracking where the screw went through to hold the lens in place. After returning them 4 times I organized with them to swap to another type of frame.

Got this from the MJ rep:
"get them to take them back to however they bought them from   or any maui Jim stockist who will onforward them for repair. Or they can post   them direct to our warehouse at 3 tilley Lane,Frenchs Forrest,Sydney,NSW 2086."

Sorry guys, missed this post. Titanium they certainly are, and yes it is a ba$tard to work with. Conventional soldering equipment can't be used to weld it. Good news is that Maui Jim will look after you. If you haven't already got something sorted I can send them back for a warranty repair for you

Just a follow up on this thread.
Thanks to all who replied!
Not long after the better half's glasses had problems, my Maui Jim's sunnies that had a crack around one of the lenses where the frame screws in finally gave way. I got off my @rse a bit later and contacted Maui Jim who after recieving both pairs quoted $90 for the wife's sunnies and $110 for mine and that was to replace both lenses to ensure that the tints are exactly the same. As a goodwill gesture, they said they would do both for $110.
Got them back yesterday. My pair as far as I can tell were a total replacement and the wife's pair were repaired.
Fair to say, I'm wrapped. Fantastic service! Maui Jim!!!

Epo
