I have been having a go off some northern beaches on and off for the last couple of months. They all seem to be suffering from weeditis.
Are there any clear beaches that anyone knows of at the moment? When does the weed normally clear up?

Actually the beaches north of North Mole are not too bad Dave, but south Freo way, forget it!

I fished Long Point the weekend before last. Weed as far as the eye could see and mostly almost to the foot of the dunes. However I still managed to catch half a dozen excellent yellowfin whiting 25-30cm (mulie caught) and three tailor. One of them just over a kilo. Lost a couple of bigger tailor when they hit the weed bank. I managed to get the bigger tailor by wading out through the weed and lifting it over it. The water beyond the weed bank was free of weed before the tide turned. Went there last week, still plenty of weed but no tailor this time.
