Posting pics Posting pics is pretty easy once you get the hang of it. There are just a few things you need to be aware of to make it all happen. Size of the pic is important, it has to be 200kb or less to be uploaded regardless of its dimensions as seen on the screen; generally pics straight out of your camera are much larger and simply won’t upload. To reduce their size you can use a number of programs including the one that came with your camera, or you can use some free software available. A couple of examples are – http://www.fookes.com/ezthumbs/ http://www.irfanview.com/ When selecting a size 640 x 480 pixels is about the best for viewing. Larger sizes like 1600 x 1200 may take up more than the size of the screen making viewing difficult. If you are inclined to insert the pic directly into the post please be aware if that it breaks the width of the message table it will be deleted . If you use the Testing forum to practice uploading be aware you can actually upload a pic of up to 4,000kb on that site. Where as in other forums the limit is much smaller at 200kb Finally just remember when uploading if you don’t tick the 'Embed picture in post' box a thumbnail pic will not appear in your post. Go to it people Regards Dick
