Decied I would go out and try my luck this morning from some Metro Stones. My aim was to try and find some Salmon, but I didn't get any of them. When I arrived I picked a spot with one other person fishing nearby who had already been there for quite a few hours. I grabbed a couple of of my recently caught baits and cast out two lines. The water was flat calm and the breeze that was there was more or less at my back.
Five minutes later I was on unbelievable but true and a short while later after a few short runs and headshakes the other fisho helped me land it. Whoohoo, just over 7kg and 78cm.
Danny.

Brilliant! Well done Dan. I bet you were real disappointed there were no salmon around.

yeah
But there were some around, just a bit further out. Looked like a couple of small schools but I didn't try too hard.

Struth, nice fish Dan! I was there last night, all i managed was a dozen or so Yellowtail that ended up in the bait barrel and a meter Gummy, and a 30cm Port Jackson. There was some action on the live Yellowtail, but couldnt seem to hook it.
A sickie sounds good, hope your not reading this boss....

Rig was large gangs and Pilch bait,(knew they they wouldn't be wasted) and yeah it did swim at me a couple of times.

Yeah the conditions were real tough Bradley.

Mark yeah I reckon he was spewing just a wee bit, can't blame him though. I know how I would've felt if it was the other way around.
Danny.
