Here's a pic taken on Dream Catcher of the Furuno FCV-585 in 40 odd meters out of Hillary's. It was echo's like these that resulted in some good Queen Snapper and Dhui's

Those 585's are impressive the only problem is that they came out 1 month after I bought mine spewing...I think that might be a fish arch right on the bottom in between the number 3 and number 7.

G'day guys

Like the pics gunner, that is some serious coral. I went out the back of rotto a week or so back to 200m and was a little bit disappointed the sounder wasn't as clear out to that depth as I had hoped...still it's pretty good out to approx 100m. Must drag the boat down to Mandurah and go for a run with you one day. I know you frequent Jurien a bit, I'm headed there for the Aust Day long weekend, don't spose you'll be there then will you?

Ben, I've got a Raymarine C120, great sounder but as mentioned above I could do with a more powerful transducer for deep water, will try and get some shots on the next trip. Still owe you a run in the Trophy if I can get down Busso way. Have you sorted the new boat yet or still looking?

Hi Glen

Great shots for sure..

I also have the 582l but dont see screens like yours. I do admit to not being very good at using my sounder.

Are you on bottom lock ? and could you maybe guide me through how you have your sounder set up to see coral like that.
PM me if you wish.

Cheers
Terry

Alister,
Decided on a PMY 24 after going for a couple of trips on one from Bunbury, just love a big fast centre console.

Howdi Allister,
Had planned to go to Jurien on Australia day but kids have got cricket...Mandurah is hard work these day's has sustained huge fishing pressure over a great number of years and just now starting to show signs of that fishing pressure.

Hi Tony

I have a 2052 with the transducer mounted under the step. Haven't had any problems to date but haven't launched anywhere shallow either. Need to modify the trailer I think before trying shallow ramps.

Regards
