This boat was planned for a fair while and have enjoyed the whole experience  from working out what we required to make everything uncluttered and practical for the different styles of fishing we do, to the process of getting the right person to build the boat, then watching the boat come together with a mininuim of problems.
We wanted a boat that we could fish for sailfish/marlin longer into the season than we normally would due to a punishing south westerly and the fact the fish are 40nm north late in the season, but also a boat that was manageable during the wet season to beach launch to enable us to site fish for tripletail and creek fish for barra, threadies and mulloway. Luckily for me Kevin Holt posted a great article on Wangler forum of his boat Black Label, then Brad Carey pm'ed me raving about how good this bloke Woodie was from Oceanic Boats. Exactly what I was after, someone that listened to what your ideas were and was able to build what you wanted.
A few trips to Perth I was able to look over Brads boat as he excitedly fitted it off and watch as someone elses boat was getting built , it was obvious I had made the right choice of builder for my boat. With the boat underway and a few more trips down to Perth to check on the progress and add those little things that you want(flybridge oops sorry Woodie didn't I tell you about that!!! think of the challenge)it was easy to see the boat coming together as planned. After a couple of days spent positioning all the accessories and making sure everything was drilled and tapped we sanded the boat ready for laquer(thanks Whitey).   Once completed including clear laquering , screens and clears we towed the boat back to Broome and had the motor and duel controls fitted then set about fitting off all the accessories Luckily the mates were keen to get the boat in the water so the fitoff was easy( it helps having an electronics tech as a fishing mate ). Thanks Woodie great boat and look out for those big gardies and to Wal,Brad Kevin,Whitey,Garry and Dawsey thanks and you know where Broome is .
Enjoy the pics

7.0mtr centre cabin 250hp yamaha 4 stroke Extremely happy with the quality of the boat and its performance so far. 40 knots on new motor with 500ltrs of fuel  and 4 persons  board. 150ltrs for 11 hours out chasing sails about 40 miles from port so we are pretty happy with consumption

18 knots we should have at least 400nm range so kimberley trips will be on the cards

How do you get up to the fly bridge? Assume you have a ladder stashed somewhere?
