Its been rather unfortunate lately, that a few threads have had to be locked up or deleted for containing...lets say...questionable content. So it may be time to just give a refresher on the Berley Bucket rules and terms of use.

First, what's ok to post.

  • Sport related chat, just keep it reasonably non heated, especially in footy season.
  • Jokes, as long as they're rated PG
  • Questions and discussion about things non fishing related. Electronics, Travel, Pets, Food, Beer etc

What's not ok

  • Politics is a massive no no. There are heaps of forums around for discussing politics that aren't wangler, this isn't the place for it. Lighten up, and talk about something we can all enjoy, like beer.
  • Controversial social issues. You know what i'm talking about here. Yes the world is hard, yes I'm sure there's great injustices that annoy you to no end, but be aware there will always be those that don't agree with your viewpoint. Threads such as these cause nothing but conflict and create rivalries and will be locked if they look like they're headed down the wrong path. Sort it out in PM's, not on here.
  • Race related stuff. Pretty self explainitory
  • Keep it clean. Don't try and evade the swear filter, and don't post anything of an adult or vulgar nature. If you wouldn't say or show it to you mum, don't put it on here.
  • Excessive chat. Common sense here, a bit of banter, and to and fro is absolutely fine, often that's where the gold is. But 3 pages of 2 people chatting to each other is over the top and will be locked. Use PM's or msn.
  • Anything that contravenes Wanglers Terms and Conditions

Follow that as a guide and everyone will be happy and we'll all have an enjoyable bucket experience.

Just remember, the judges decision is final. If you have a thread locked, deleted, or edited...it was done for a reason with due consideration. Take it on the chin and move on. Conversely, the mods can't obviously be here 24/7, so if you're offended by something, or think something's out of line, PM the mods or use the report post button, and we'll look into it.

The Bucket was created to give some room to move on the subjects that could be discussed on this website. So far, in general it's worked really well and we've all had some great laughs over the years. But believe me, make it too hard and it'll get taken away from us, and we'll have to find somewhere else to talk about irreverent subjects and sport.

And i'll hate that the most, because i'll lose probably 80% of my posts.

Happy posting guys and girls.

Your friendly bucket mod

I reckon it is a wishy washy decision. Talk about Nero fiddling while Rome burned.
