Haven't been out there for about 4 months. Any news on the progress with the upgrade to ramps and parking? Thinking about giving it a go in the next week or 2.

Arrived at Woodmans point boat ramp 8am Sunday morning with the wife and kids. There would have been over 100 trailers and cars in the main roadbase carpark already, another dozen or more waiting to launch and the same number retrieving there boats. All of this was happening in the existing launching facility with two jetties and 4 ramps.

Meanwhile the new ramps and jetties which look fantastic have been completed and look ready for use for around 3 weeks are still fenced off. and not being used.
I wonder if the project has come to a standstill with the new Government coming to power and having different views on the use of Woodmans Point and the once proposed new harbour facility?

Hi Warren,

Thanks for that, it's good news that they are that close to being ready

The "pollies" are probably just waiting for a good opportunity to get together in front of the cameras, to pat each other on the back and cut the ribbon and then smile for the cameras - hopefully soon.
