Nick - it's a Hot Smoker in the larger size - they should have a few there, we have a few at Scarborough, most colours. If they fall short just get them to order it, won't take long.

Geoff the best thing to do is send me an email: tell me what speed you plan to troll at, plus the jig colours you prefer and then we can send you a test lure to trial.

If the high speed jig works out well then I would suggest you place an order for more through one of the Bluewater Stores over their.

Hexhead make high speed trolling lures, you can buy them from

www.ausfish.com.au/hexhead/

They work well on quite a few

Yep and if wahoo or mackerel are your main target then here is another 300 gm chrome head hottie we make that is bullet proof, on wire and comes with three different nylon brush inner tail colours.

Over here we drag then at 10-12 knots for HOOO and then let them drop down and back as we turn (slowly and deliverately).

Nick, all of that is good advice but I wouldn't ignore a small bullet head skirted tuna lure or even a a simple jig. (That is something much smaller small alongside the other two)
Tuna will certainly chase down these small streaks, especially if the conditions are not overly rough and if they're feeding on smaller bait. The rougher it gets the slower the troll - as Stages says vary it or come back to 12 to 15 knots.
cheers
Bomma

Cheers Bomma - I have recently priced some of the "cheaper" high speed lures around and at anywhere from $35-$40, is probably not worth it in my opinion, for my purposes, ie. something to chuck out the back at a brisk pace (in the hope of ****ing a pelagic) on the way out to bottom fishing grounds

The simple Leadhead at $10 seems to be the go. Thanx for that.
