Stages, It is good to see this is still being debated, and good to see at least some people in higher places can see logic. I agree with Ken Bastons views. We are one of the many families that regularly camp on Gnaraloo station. We go there for the fantastic coastline, the peace and tranquility, and the fishing. Note that fishing actually comes last on my list... Ultimately, we DO go for the fishing, but we chose our fishing destinations based on the needs of our family, ie; safe beaches for kids, safe surrounds, reduced traffic, but still able to take in some spectacular surrounds. We fish, if we catch something it usually goes back. Sometimes it is something that will be too good to eat so it goes onto the BBQ, but that is how we fish... it will be only a fish a day if that, that will be kept. If they take away the fishing, we will have to think again about where we will go camping, and ultimately, probably make it a once a year thing because we will have to travel too far. I am still worried about what will happen to these areas when CALM takes over the strip they have "reclaimed"... a few years away before that actually comes into effect... but still a worry...they are taking away our playground.
