When anglers stop showing up in locations like Exmouth and the town dries up and dies they might understand.

I love going to the North West Cape but if this is the local attitude than they can keep the place. They can keep it so pristine the town will disappear, all this in the middle of an advertising campaign that says nothing has changed for anglers.

The Exmouth Visitor Centre http://www.exmouthwa.com.au/ is running TV ads in Perth advertising fishing in Exmouth and saying that the fishing is still open and it's still worth coming.

Maybe the Exmouth businesses are already feeling the pinch from all the publicity about Ningaloo Marine Park and fishing.

The high fuel prices will really be hitting anglers and other tourists and making many think twice.

Maybe a lot of emails or phone calls should go to the Exmouth Visitor Centre saying that websites like Kelly's turn anglers off Exmmouth. Mine will be on the way soon.

I think that is exactly what people like Paul & Kelly & others like them would like, they operate a commercial business that involves diving and tourism, if Anglers stopped coming it wouldnt affect them one bit, as long as they are making money all would be well with their world.

My information is that Exmouth was given some big dollars by the government to run this ad campign, stangley enough just prior to the State election............

Nice site Kelly!

I particularly like the way you try and justify your handling and touching of species on the reef- Shows just the type of people you are.

Hippocrites!

I hope your dive business fails and falls flat on it's ****

BTW- I dive and I fish- I appreciate both aspects of these activities although I would never think to exploit the resource for commercial gain while espousing to all and sundry how virtuous you are. Whatta crock!

Extremist views won't be tolerated by the majority of Australian people and your business will be one I would never contemplate using and I will be spreading the word and will give your competitors a leg up wherever I can

You and your business are a hippocritical joke!

Mike,
The actual company that runs the pier dives here is owned/run by dave and his wife. It is Exmouth dive and dave is a rather keen angler so don't hold it against him and his company and deny yourself the oppertunity to have a great dive.
And by the way, Kelly Richie who we see through work quite regularly actually wears a shell necklace. What a hypocrite hey.

being involved in the dive industry i can see the site promotions /advertisements forwhat they r eally r .. and it is purely for thier own financial advancement .. fishing tournaments like Gamex also generate big dollars into the town as well .. so many dive operations have the same attitude as displayed on the website .but when u go into thier dive shop they also sell fishing gear and spearguns etc . etc .. ill certainly be makeing my gamefishing friends in Exmouth aware of the site ...

Sure promote tourism and diving but don`t try to stomp angling into the ground in the process. The quickest way to ruin a natuaral reef is to invite hundreds of thousands of tourists every year well see how it looks in ten years. I think the only reason the Great Barrier Reef has lasted under the pressure is because of the sheer size of it. So becarful what you ask for Kelly you might just get it!!!!!!

Bushy,
Keep on it,
I can tell you that your area up there is number one on their hit list.
Just like boating licences etc. my prediction is that you will be hit within the first 18 months of this election period so that it can be dead and buried before the next election
Optimist forever

What a load of bull*!$%.

Kelly, As long as your pockets are full and your ego is boosted from your Unintelligent suggestions im sure you will remain content.

Let us know how it feels when you see your *supposedly fellow fishing friends* as they are packin up shop due to your incompetence.

Think outside the box before you destroy an industry.

Saw this a few days ago and sent the link to a couple other Wangler members, who obviously are still livid as well

A lot of posts about the potential damage to Exmouth business and rec fishing industry already.

Kelly I believe Grace Bros removalists still service Exmouth
